The Islamic Movement for Justice is a grassroots community organization aiming to serve as a coordinating committee for educational programs and direct actions related to social justice and decolonization struggles. Our primary objective is to liberate bodies and minds from oppression through Islamic social organization and education.

Mission:

  • To liberate bodies and minds from oppression through Islamic social organization and education.
  • To serve as a coordinating committee for educational programs and direct actions related to social justice and decolonization struggles.

Points of unity:

  • We are an Islamic organization founded on the belief and practice of Islam.
  • We believe in the comprehensiveness of Islam and view it as a continuous liberation project, requiring internal-spiritual and external-social struggles in the pursuit of piety, dignity and justice.
  • We believe that our ultimate objective in life is establishing justice on earth. Allah commands the believers to unify in the pursuit of human dignity and justice for all, so we seek to develop strong Muslim communities that honor our responsibility to the Creator and creation.
  • We believe that Allah forbids oppression and that believers are called to stop oppression, therefore we oppose war and propaganda that serve racism and colonialism, generally, and Euro-American imperialism and Zionism particularly.
  • We believe in working together for goodness and will work with any group or individual that shares our goals and principles.
